Key Areas of Responsibility

• Perform analysis of business requirements for accuracy, completeness, redundancy, ambiguity, and testability.
• Define testing scope, approach, risks, and assumptions.
• Design, build, and prioritize test cases.
• Execute testing, report and prioritize defects and work with development team towards defect resolution.
• Report and communicate test status and metrics to project stakeholders.
• Make recommendations for change, technological innovation, continuous improvement, and documentation of Software Quality Assurance processes, practices, and frameworks, assuring a high level of system readiness prior to production implementation.
• Identify and recommend changes to status reporting and quality metrics.
• Participates in peer reviews of unit tests and overall project deliverables.
• Ability to create automated test scripts beyond record and playback to recognize UI controls and develop utilities, functions, control flow logic, loops.
• Understanding of multiple IT technical platforms and application development methodologies.
• Experience with the full software development life cycle, testing methodologies, version control systems, and quality assurance.
• Ability to work in an Agile team using Agile processes Test Automation and other technical capabilities
• Hands on experience with Javascript based web UI automation framework (e.g. Jest, Puppeteer or similar tools) supporting multiple desktop and mobile browser platforms
• Hands on experience automating API tests using tools such as JMeter and integrating the tests using scheduling tools such as Jenkins
• Ability to view and query logs to assist development team in finding root causes for defects and outages using tools such as Splunk
• Experience in running backend queries on SQL and Mongo Db to validate end-to-end data flow for tests
• They should be able to do manual testing of new features and follow QA processes. Then automate the stable features using java script-based test automation tools. Experience in testing REST APIs using Postman and JMeter are also a must.
