Home Services Aide (CNA) - Burley Idaho

Job Overview Home Services Aide under the direction of the RN or Rehab Therapist performs basic patient care activities and related services necessary for the personal, physical, and comfort needs of patients in the home setting at the level specified in the plan of care. Location: Home Health and Hospice Cassia – Burley, Idaho. Shift type: PRN or scheduled visits. Typical hours 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., weekends and holidays required. Responsibilities Coordinate patient schedule with staff, patients, and family members and make assigned visits on time. Keep an accurate record of time and mileage. Maintain accessibility during the assigned schedule. Follow aide delegation plan and perform assigned duties within the scope of practice. Foster a safe environment by complying with safety policies, including infection control and lifting & transferring procedures. Take appropriate action in an emergency and effectively communicate to the patient what care is being given. Report significant care concerns or safety issues to the Case Manager or agency before leaving the home or before completing the shift. Observe, report, and chart (point‑of‑care charting) the patient’s response to the treatment plan. Perform basic patient care activities such as toileting, bathing, changing linens and clothing, providing fresh water and ice, ambulating, and other patient needs as directed by the delegation plan. Minimum Qualifications Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers. Current driver’s license, insurance, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record. State fingerprinting clearance. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Must be 18 years or older. Ability to see, read, lift, and handle patients and equipment, including frequent computer use and typing. Preferred Qualifications Experience as a CNA or other applicable healthcare experience. Experience working in home health or hospice settings. Physical Requirements Persons must be able to see and read information, assess patient needs, operate monitoring equipment, and identify supplies. Frequent verbal communication is required during emergencies. Manual dexterity for manipulating equipment, computer use, and typing is necessary. Employees are expected to lift and transfer patients, bend to retrieve supplies, and handle items up to heavy weights, as well as navigate crowded rooms and stand for extended periods. Benefits Hourly rate: $18.94 to $24.62. Mileage reimbursement, flexible work schedule, up to $275 for an annual caregiver incentive, and a $500 bonus for referrals.
