LifeStar Response is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic, skilled Fleet Mechanic to help keep our ambulance fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on gas and diesel emergency vehicles and related systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company ambulances and support vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and computer-controlled systems.
• Service brakes (including air brakes), engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and drivetrains.
• Complete routine maintenance (oil changes, filters, fluids, belts, tires, hoses).
• Repair or replace components in cooling, exhaust/emissions, hydraulic, air, and electrical systems.
• Maintain accurate service logs and maintenance records.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
• Support other maintenance tasks as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or technical training preferred).
• Prior experience as a fleet or automotive mechanic.
• Working knowledge of gas and diesel engines and vehicle systems.
• Valid driver’s license.

Physical & Work Environment:

• Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
• Exposure to noise, chemicals, oils, and moving vehicle parts.
• Requires use of hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety gear.

Education:

Experience:

• Preventive maintenance: 1 year (Required).
• Automotive Mechanic: 1 year (Required).
• Gas and Diesel: 1 year (Required).

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required).
