Job Details Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) / Emergency Department (ED) Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (Travel RN) Shift: 12-hour nights Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Length: 16 weeks Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,250 - $2,370 Location: Schenectady, NY 12308 Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; no self-scheduling; travelers may float to units within their competencies, including the ED Observation Unit Job Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York preferred at submission and required for auto-offer At least 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience required; 2 years preferred for auto-offer Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Prior travel nurse experience preferred, but not required Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend Comfort working in a high-acuity emergency care setting with a diverse patient population Must be able to float within clinical competencies as needed Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with urgent, chronic, medical, surgical, dental, and emotional needs Perform core ED duties including medication administration, IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, transports, drips, and infusions Assess, stabilize, and monitor patients experiencing illness or trauma in the Emergency Department Support safe and efficient patient flow in a busy 70-bed ED Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to deliver timely, compassionate care Provide care to mental health crisis patients as part of a dedicated crisis stabilization environment within the ED Maintain accurate documentation and follow established clinical and safety protocols Adapt quickly to changing priorities while delivering excellent patient care in a team-oriented healthcare setting Apply now to join this Emergency Room RN travel assignment in Schenectady, NY and advance your nursing career in a dynamic healthcare environment.
