Assistant /Associate Professor Neuromuscular

Posting Summary Participate in clinical care of patients with neurological disorders in the sub-specialty of Neuromuscular Disorders according to a schedule determined by the Division Chief and Chair. The clinical activities will include outpatients and inpatients. There will also be several weeks per year of inpatient consultation services according to a schedule similar to the other full-time Neurology faculty. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Care for patients with neuromuscular disorders in the outpatient and hospital settings Perform electrodiagnostic tests in both the outpatient and hospital settings Attend on the consult service at the RWJUH according to a schedule determined by the Chair or Division Chief Participate in night and weekend call Participate in the educational activities of the Department including lecturing students and residents, and supervision of the resident clinic Participate in the administrative activities of the Department Participate in the clinical neuromuscular research program Participate in the General Neurology clinic at RWJ and satellite clinics as needed Participate in the teaching mission of RWJMS to the extent determined in consultation with the Department Chair and Division Chief. This will include teaching and mentoring fellows, teaching Neurology residents and rotating residents in the inpatient and outpatient settings in small group seminars; teaching medical students in the inpatient and outpatient settings in small group seminars or in formal lectures in the pre-clinical setting. Participate in the community service responsibilities of the department such as providing neurological care for indigent patients, teaching or advising lay community groups in the area of neurological disorders according to a schedule to be determined by the Chair and Division Chief Participate in the consult rotation and the weekend call schedules Attend departmental and institutional faculty/other meetings Participate in administrative tasks including membership in standing or ad hoc departmental and institutional committees Perform other duties as required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
