Responsibilities Operate a mobile crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads. Unload crane accessories from trailers or support vehicles. Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections along with daily and monthly equipment inspections. Follow appropriate safety procedures and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours (FMCSA). Work under direct supervision, with long hours, frequent sitting, standing, moving, and climbing. May be exposed to extreme year‑round outdoor environmental conditions and work weekends or holidays. Perform routine maintenance. Carry tools for running repairs. Qualifications High school diploma or GED with 5+ years of experience. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards in crane operations. Pass drug test and background check. Proficiency in oral and written communication skills, as well as technical and functional skills. Preferred but not required: CDL Class A license, NCCCO, TSS, TLL, LBC, LAT, STC. Abilities Lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Relocate a 12‑foot stepladder without assistance. Work at heights up to 60 feet and climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and all types of ladders. Walk, climb, lift, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and reach overhead routinely and repetitively. Have good vision (may be corrected), ability to see in color, and ability to hear and communicate in English. Use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools. Recognize when something is wrong or likely to go wrong (problem recognition). Apply general rules to specific problems to produce sensible answers. Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions. See details at close range (within a few feet).
