Clinical Ambulatory Services Rep II - Outpatient Kingwood Glen Specialty Care We are searching for a Clinical Ambulatory Services Representative II for the Outpatient Kingwood Glen Specialty Care Clinic – someone who works well in a fast‑paced setting. In this position, you will provide excellent customer service as the first contact for patients, providers and staff accessing ambulatory clinics. You will expedite the outpatient check‑in and check‑out processes by reviewing appointment status using an electronic appointment system to view information regarding appointment, insurance, and history. You will also collect pre‑visit payments and communicate with the clinic liaison regarding factors impacting the patient visit and general clinic‑patient flow. You will also secure the financial integrity of the patient’s account by verifying benefits and obtaining referrals, authorizations, and pre‑certifications. As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant required in one of the following certifications: CCMA – Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHA) CMA-AAM – Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) CMA-C – Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (AMCA) EMT – Emergency Medical Technician (Texas Department of State Health Services) EMT‑A – Advanced EMT (Texas Department of State Health Services) EMT‑B – Emergency Medical Technician – Basic (Texas Department of State Health Services) EMT‑I – Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate (Texas Department of State Health Services) EMT‑P – Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic (Texas Department of State Health Services) LIC PAR – Lic-Paramedic (Texas Department of State Health Services) NCMA – National Certified Medical Assistant (NCCT) NRCMA – National Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NAHP) RMA – Registered Medical Assistant (American Association of Medical Personnel, American Allied Health, American Medical Technologists, or American Registry of Medical Assistants) High school diploma or GED required 2‑years’ experience in a clinical setting required Healthcare and/or pediatric experience preferred Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred Responsibilities Perform patient registration procedures per department process. Obtain and verify patient demographic data for each encounter. Confirm patient appointments, verifying patient demographics and insurance information. Enter, batch, and reconcile charges daily. Ensure that interpreter services are available for patients as needed. Provide basic office support including ordering and maintaining office/clinic supplies; maintaining office equipment; managing correspondence; copying, faxing, mailing, and filing documents; and collecting and distributing mail. Serve in a key role to assure the most efficient patient throughput in exam rooms.
