Assistant Athletic Director

Job Postings Dates: June 3, 2026 – Until Filled Title: Assistant Athletic Director Reports To: Athletic Director Job Type: Full-Time Contract Qualifications Successful experience in Athletic Administration, Education Administration, or a related field Coaching experience at the middle school/high school level or above Experience managing budgets preferred Experience with the selection, supervision, and evaluation of personnel Heartsaver CPR and AED Certification Cap 1 and Cap 2 certification, or willingness to attain certification Knowledge of the MHSAA rules and regulations preferred, and willingness to attend training Ability to work within a coordinated athletic department from youth through varsity level Strong personal and social skills, with the ability to effectively communicate using a variety of media Job Description Assist in organizing and administering the overall program of extracurricular athletics at the middle school and high school levels. Recruit, select, assign, orient, develop, and evaluate coaching personnel. Maintain high standards of conduct and professionalism within the athletic programs. Represent Paw Paw School District in matters of interscholastic athletics within the Wolverine Conference and MHSAA. Organize and schedule all middle school athletic events. Assume general responsibility for supervision of home athletic events. Coordinate and oversee all middle school athletic event personnel. Coordinate in-season and out-of-season training/conditioning opportunities for grades 6–8. Procure equipment and uniforms for athletic teams grades 6–8. Contract officials for home contests when necessary. Arrange for team transportation to and from athletic events. Communicate with athletes, coaches, parents, and officials regarding happenings within athletics. Organize/assist with seasonal coaches meetings to review rules, regulations, updates, and policy. Other duties may be assigned by the Athletic Director. Salary/Benefits Per PPPS Contract Agreement for Extra Duty Position annually at $16,500.
