Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items following recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation standards to ensure appealing and flavorful plates.
• Compose plates with attention to detail, ensuring each dish is visually appealing and meets quality standards.
• Execute cooking tasks in a timely manner to maintain service efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Label and date all prepared food items for proper storage, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Handle and store food items using sanitary practices to meet food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including coolers, storage areas, and workstations.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to operating guidelines and maintenance protocols.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to the supervisor in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team and management to uphold high standards of service and food quality.
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper food handling, temperature checks, and sanitation practices.

Physical Requirements

To perform the duties of this job, you must:

• Be able to stand, walk, and move continuously for up to 8 hours.
• Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Handle frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to heat, humidity, and cold storage areas.
• Safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.
