Travel RN - ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU/Critical Care position requiring a TN or compact RN license and 2+ years of critical care experience.

Job Details

• Level III trauma hospital's ICU/Critical Care unit,
• Adult and geriatric patient population, no pediatric patients,
• Currently a 5-bed unit, soon expanding to a 10-bed ICU,
• Patient ratios of 2-3:1,
• Common diagnoses include DKA, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, and psychiatric (SI) cases,
• Utilizes ventilators, BiPAPs, IV drips, and glucometers,
• Uses Medhost EHR system,
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM,
• Every other weekend required,
• No on-call requirements,
• No floating required,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license valid in Tennessee (TN state or compact license),
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certifications required),
• Minimum 2+ years of RN experience required,
• Critical care experience required,
• Strong critical thinking skills required,
• Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to assignment start,

Additional Information

• Provide direct critical care nursing to adult and geriatric ICU patients,
• Collaborate closely with a supportive, team-oriented unit,
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; casual wear is not permitted,
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for the travel rate,
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months,
• Candidates must not be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment,
• First-time travelers may be considered for this position
