Restaurant General Manager

gParrot Services is hiring a Restaurant Manager on behalf of a confidential client — an Indian restaurant located near Oakbrook, IL — for a full-time, direct-hire role. This is a permanent placement with our client, not a staffing/contract role. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of an Indian restaurant, ensuring excellent guest experience, efficient front and back-of-house coordination, and strong financial performance. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations Manage staff scheduling, hiring, training, and performance Ensure high standards of food quality, service, and cleanliness Handle guest relations, feedback, and complaint resolution Monitor inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships Manage cash handling, POS systems, and daily financial reporting Control labor and food costs to meet budget and profitability targets Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food handling regulations Coordinate with the kitchen team to maintain consistency and timely service Support marketing and promotional efforts to drive traffic and repeat business Key Requirements Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager, ideally in an Indian or South Asian cuisine restaurant Strong leadership and staff management skills Experience with POS systems, scheduling, and inventory management Solid understanding of restaurant P&L, cost control, and budgeting Food safety certification (ServSafe or equivalent) preferred Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle a fast-paced environment gParrot Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
