- Design Customized Treatment Plans: Assess clients' needs and formulate personalized therapy strategies to help them achieve their functional aspirations
- Implement Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based methods to enhance patients' mobility, cognitive functions, and daily living activities
- Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work closely with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, medical practitioners, and nursing staff to ensure holistic patient care
- Guide Patients and Caregivers: Provide education to patients and their families about therapy techniques, enabling consistent support at home
- Evaluate and Document Progress: Monitor patient outcomes and revise treatment plans as necessary, ensuring they stay on track
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university
- Encouragement and support for continuing education or additional certifications
- Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
- NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is mandatory
- A true passion for assisting others and a natural inclination to help people gain their independence
- Empathetic communication skills with patients and colleagues alike
- Ability to creatively adapt strategies to cater to diverse needs
- Confidence working independently and as a member of a close-knit, collaborative team
