Auto Claims Specialist I (Manheim)

Job Description At Manheim, a Cox Automotive company, we help customers resolve complaints quickly and efficiently. The Arbitrator I will learn to investigate claims, determine compliance with Manheim's National Arbitration policies, and work to reach mutually acceptable resolutions. Responsibilities Review customer claims to verify compliance with policies and account‑specific guidelines. Investigate less complex cases such as late title claims, condition reports, vehicle availability, post‑sale inspection failures, mechanical or structural damage, and undisclosed vehicle damage. Collaborate with internal departments (reconditioning, front office, dealer services, vehicle entry, etc.) during fact‑finding and investigation. Use resources to obtain and evaluate inspection reports, documentation, and other data. Communicate resolutions via telephone, email, and in‑person discussion. Mediator disputes, negotiate repair or pricing, and agree on settlements while keeping vehicles sold. Maintain accurate case files, verifying all required documentation including invoices and settlement agreements. Escalate cases to a supervisor/manager when required. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Less than 2 years of related experience. Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational and time‑management skills. Ability to adapt in a fluid and changing environment. Preferred: 1+ year automotive or body‑shop experience; claims adjuster experience. Benefits Competitive hourly wage $19.90–$29.81, plus potential commission and incentive programs.
