Labor & Delivery Nurse

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Nurse to provide comprehensive care for obstetric patients in a rural West Texas hospital. The role involves managing antepartum, labor, postpartum, and nursery patients, ensuring safe and quality care throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments of obstetric patients across different stages of pregnancy and delivery.
• Monitor fetal wellbeing utilizing intermediate fetal monitoring techniques.
• Administer medications and interventions in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and record patient progress diligently.
• Ensure all OB circulator responsibilities are executed efficiently during labor and delivery procedures.

Qualifications:

• Possess active ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Stable certifications.
• Demonstrate intermediate fetal monitoring proficiency.
• Have prior OB circulator experience preferred.
• Hold a valid registered nurse license in the state of practice.
• Be capable of managing 30-40 deliveries per month in a hospital setting.
• Must have experience caring for antepartum, labor, postpartum, and nursery patients; postpartum-only nurses will not be considered.
