About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Payer Strategy and Relations to serve as the primary external face in positioning the network for financial performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sophisticated payer strategies that effectively translate the system's value into successful reimbursement. This role involves leading high-impact negotiations, driving strategic alignment across departments, and ensuring the delivery of fair, mission-aligned agreements with both government and commercial payers. Key priorities for the VP include enhancing payer relationships, securing optimal reimbursement terms, and building out risk-bearing payment models for long-term collaborative partnerships. Applicants for the Vice President of Payer Strategy and Relations at the company should be experienced and visionary leaders with a deep understanding of healthcare quality methodologies, regulatory requirements, and the complexities of a large, integrated health system. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree strongly preferred, and at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in managed care, payer contracting, or healthcare strategy.
