Learning and Development Consultant

Direct message the job poster from Corps Team Our client, a large financial services company, is seeking an experienced Learning & Development Consultant for a 6+ month contract assignment (can extend or convert) in either Frisco, TX or Charlotte, NC. This role is hybrid and will be onsite 3 days a week. Overview The L&D Consultant consults with management to determine the learning needs of the business unit that supports strategic priorities, career development, associate development, and business acumen. The consultant assesses, designs, implements, and supports ongoing learning and development programs to promote operational excellence. In addition, the role serves as a mentor and resource to leaders, directing team development needs and delivering learning programs through various methods. Key Responsibilities Evaluate existing training and development programs to enhance the learning experience for employees. Review learning and development operational strategies by analyzing trends, preparing critical measurements, and implementing improvements in production, productivity, quality, and systems. Assess organization strengths and weaknesses by reviewing current learning programs, identifying performance gaps, and determining needs in business units. Develop and align learning solutions with organizational strategies; plan and organize training and development initiatives. Assess program results by tracking and analyzing performance data, conducting surveys, and interviewing unit managers and employees. Collaborate with business units to create training materials that meet defined learning outcomes. Contribute information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic direction, creating functional objectives aligned with organization goals. Coach and delegate work to junior professionals to ensure high‑quality and timely completion of projects. Participate in technology release demos and consult with business end‑users to document transactional tasks, create storyboards, etc. Design and develop learning solutions, including online and instructor‑led courses, performance support materials, and videos. Utilize development tools such as Evolve, Adobe Creative Suite (including FireWorks, Photoshop, Premiere, Animate, Audition, InDesign, After Effects), and Vyond. Publish and install SCORM packages on the learning management system. Perform maintenance (updates) on existing solutions in Evolve, PowerPoint, Word, and Vyond. Requirements 3+ years of L&D work experience required; 5+ preferred. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, Evolve, or Vyond. Skills with e‑learning tools such as Captivate or Articulate Storyline.
