Enterprise Data Engineer

Position OverviewServes as an Enterprise Data Engineer leading the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) toward a structured and open data exchange achieving the ability to use, share and perform data analysis across multiple organizations to help answer mission and business intelligence questions. Manages and prioritizes the project stream, working with internal customers to determine project definition and business requirements.ResponsibilitiesServe as the Data Engineering expert. Utilize technical expertise to plan, design, document, and implement requirements necessary for enterprise data engineering.Work as an analytical advisor to A9A leadership to include the Principal Technical Analyst, Deputy Chief Data Officer, and Chief Data Officer on a broad range of issues related to Center needs for data engineering and data analytics.Share your expertise. Guide other civilian, military, and contractor counterparts in developing and providing Center level data standardization and structure.Develop new approaches, methods, tools, automation, and procedures to improve Center data preparation, organization, and architecture.Manage projects from inception to implementation. Collaborate with communities of experts and lead team members to drive enterprise achievement.Other duties as assignedQualificationsCurrent Top-Secret clearance with SCI adjudication8+ years of experience in technical project management or data engineering experienceBachelor's degree in information science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical fieldDemonstrated Experience with Tableau Visualizations/Data Prep, data capabilities of SharePointDemonstrated experience with Business Analytics and the principals of analyzing financial, production, and/or Intel dataFamiliar with python, SQL, data pipelines and ETL techniques and ontologiesEffective/efficient written/verbal communication skills; proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Power BISelf-motivated, detail oriented, responsible team player able to work independently with minimal daily directionAbility to work and interact with technically and organizationally diverse personnelOpen to occasional travelDesired Qualifications:Familiarity with National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) intelligence analysis and production processesMaster's degree in information science, computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related technical fieldProfessional certifications in Data AnalyticsGlobal Comp$135,000- $170,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.Closing StatementRiverside Research Institute is a not-for-profit, technology-oriented defense company, where service to our customers and support of our staff is our overall mission.
