Software Engineer, Robotics

Salary: $139,500 - 145,500 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for a Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical discipline.
• We want 1-3 years of experience in a software engineering role or a similar field.
• We need strong troubleshooting ability and patience for debugging complex, real-time interactions between software and physical hardware.
• We expect familiarity with at least one automation language, such as IEC 61131-3 Structured Text, or a standard programming language used in hardware interfacing, such as C, C++, or Python.
• We value a strong interest in working directly with physical hardware, motors, and robotics, including a willingness to work hands-on with active machinery.
• Additional consideration goes to candidates with academic projects, extracurriculars such as FIRST Robotics, or internships involving robotics, industrial automation, or customer mechatronic systems.
• Prior exposure to B&R Industrial Automation software (Automation Studio) and hardware is a plus.

• We write, test, and debug control software for automated systems using PLCs, Structured Text, C++, Python, and C/C++.
• We help integrate sensors and actuators, including pneumatic and motion-controlled components, into fully functioning robotic systems.
• We take part in testing and debugging physical machinery in our lab space to ensure safe, correct, and reliable operation.
• We maintain clear documentation for machine specifications and operating guides.
• We support the Electrical Controls team in maintaining and updating control system schematics.
• We work closely with senior engineers to implement controls solutions for cutting-edge products and support systems throughout their full life cycle.
