National Sales Director

A growing healthcare products company is seeking a National Sales Director to lead and build its Alternate Care business across the United States. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced healthcare sales leader who knows the alternate-site market and wants the opportunity to build something. Rather than stepping into an established sales organization, this person will help shape strategy, expand key distributor and customer relationships, drive new business, and ultimately help build the team needed to support continued growth. The company is backed by an established global manufacturer and supplier of high-quality PPE and infection prevention products, with products already widely used throughout North American healthcare. What You’ll Do Lead the development and execution of the U.S. alternate care sales strategy Build relationships with distributors, GPOs and key end-user customers Develop business across physician offices, dental groups, surgery centers, laboratories and other alternate-site healthcare settings Take ownership of existing relationships and opportunities while actively identifying and developing new business Work with distributor partners to create end-user demand and drive product pull-through Build relationships with decision-makers across procurement, clinical leadership and executive leadership Monitor market trends, customer needs and competitive activity to identify growth opportunities Partner closely with marketing, product management and operations Develop the future territory strategy and sales organization needed to support growth Maintain strong pipeline management, forecasting and CRM discipline What We’re Looking For 10+ years of healthcare sales experience with meaningful exposure to the alternate-site market Experience working with healthcare distributors and end-user customers Strong understanding of how products move through distribution into alternate care Proven ability to develop new business and build lasting customer relationships A hands-on, entrepreneurial approach with the ability to operate independently Experience leading people or building sales teams Ability to think strategically while remaining comfortable selling directly to customers Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills Bachelor's degree preferred Ability to travel nationally up to approximately 25% Direct PPE experience is helpful but not required. The company is particularly interested in candidates who understand the alternate care market, have strong industry relationships and know how to build business through distribution. Candidates located east of the Mississippi are preferred due to the concentration of key customers and distribution partners, although the role is remote and strong candidates throughout the U.S. will be considered. Compensation Base Salary: $150,000 to $175,000 In addition to base salary, the position offers an uncapped commission opportunity with significant upside as the alternate care business grows.
