Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care in the emergency room setting to ensure timely and effective patient treatment. Oversees and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care according to established standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient conditions upon arrival to determine the urgency of care needed.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and clinical data.
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient treatment.
• Educate patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Supervise and delegate duties to nursing staff and support personnel, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
• Perform emergency interventions and stabilization procedures as required, utilizing critical thinking and clinical expertise.

Qualifications:

• Possess valid RN licensure in the practicing state.
• Hold current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications preferred.
• Demonstrate previous experience in emergency or acute care settings.
• Show strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Maintain excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
