Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Location: Unknown. This position involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards. The role focuses on providing safe and effective patient care in a fast-paced environment, utilizing specialized knowledge and clinical skills to support patient recovery and discharge planning.

Job Details

• Position Description: This role requires assessing patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs. It includes reviewing patient history, physicals, diagnostics, and lab data, and completing assessments and reassessments based on patient needs. Formulating and implementing care plans, including discharge planning, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, are key responsibilities.
• Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or a temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for the current state. BLS certification is required. Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months is preferred.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per day, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. Professional certification is also preferred.
• Additional Information: The role involves direct patient care, delegation, supervision of licensed and non-licensed personnel, documentation, and participation in quality improvement activities. Interactions are expected with staff, physicians, patients, families, and external contacts.
