Senior Mechanical EngineerAerospace & Defense Location: Torrance, CA (Relocation Available) Compensation: $160,000 - $190,000 + Equity Status: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required. The Role We are pioneering modular motion technologies for industrial and aerospace sectors. We seek a versatile "builder" to lead the full lifecycle development of mission-critical hardware-from ambiguous concepts to environmental qualification of flight hardware. Key Responsibilities

- Design: Iterate on electromagnetic actuators and precisionmechanisms (gears, bearings, lead screws).
- Avionics: Develop ruggedized enclosures with innovative thermalmanagement for high-vibration/vacuum environments.
- Architecture: Translate mission needs into actionable requirementsfor electromechanical systems.
- Qualification: Architect test methodologies for DO-160 andMIL-STD-810 compliance.
- Execution: Own the "design-build-test" process,including hands-on assembly and debugging.
- Education: BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Experience: 5+ years through the full product lifecycle.
- Technical: Deep intuition for electromagnetic principles andmechanical load paths/cases.
- Analysis: Proficiency in sizing analysis for strength, fatigue,and life cycles.
- CAD/GD&T: Mastery of SolidWorks and ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Standards: Proven track record qualifying hardware againstDO-160/MIL-STD-810.
- AGMA Mastery: Detailed knowledge of AGMA standards, gearbox design(ratios, backlash, lubrication), and specialized fabrication.
- Test Engineering: Experience designing custom test equipment andexecuting complex qualification campaigns.
