TITLE: Director of Accounting

COMPENSATION: $160K + Bonus


REPORTS TO: CFO

LOCATION: Irvine, CA 92618

Company: Private Equity backed eCommerce CPG Brand: Our client, a private equity backed eCommerce D2C CPG company is disrupting the industrial retail industry though innovative technology and a customer-first approach. Due to expansive growth, the company has a new Executive opportunity for the leader over Accounting & Finance.


PURPOSE OF Your Position: Reporting to COO & CMO, this Leader will have oversight management for all company financial activities- ensuring revenues and profits achieve full financial control and continued growth. Owning all Accounting and Finance, the position will be responsible for financial planning, tax compliance, financial reporting, and management of banking relationships - with solid accounting experience in payroll, etc. The leader will optimize corporate accounting policies and processes to allow for accurate financial reporting in adherence to GAAP. With a roll up your sleeve's mentality, this leader will add value to impact and maintain company performance playing a critical leadership position - driving the growth & strategy of the organization.


Primary Responsibilities:

• Optimize accounting and finance processes to ensure top performance and output
• Prepare financial statements, budgeting/forecasting reports
• Lead and own monthly financial close
• Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures for accounting, budget administration and cash/credit management
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of annual budgeting process, revenue forecasts and variance/flux analysis.
• Own general accounting processes, including streamlining workflow, reviewing account reconciliations, and ensuring accuracy of deliverables.
• Partner with tax consultants on preparation of partnership tax returns and sales tax filings
• Lead and develop team through training for all financial and accounting management
• Responsible for all general ledger analysis/reconciliation and financial statement preparation and presentation; and exposure to automated accounting systems including general ledger and accounts payable.

• Partner with Executive team on organizational strategy and financial options
• Own and execute annual external audit
• Liaison with external auditors & banking partner
Desired Background:
• 7+ years minimum Accounting/Finance Experience
• Bachelor's Degree: Accounting or related field
• Public Accounting Experience
• Strong GAAP
• Strong Tax Experience
• eCommerce and D2C Experience
• Experience with Private Equity backed organizations
• CPG, Retail, Industrial D2C Industry experience
