Radiology - CT Tech

CT TechnologistFollowing established protocol and under the medical supervision of certified radiologists, CT technologists will produce computerized tomography scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas as ordered by the physician to interpret and diagnose patient disease or injury. Technologists will assist the radiologists on procedures as needed and supervise student Radiologic Technologists assigned to them. They will encourage and maintain good customer relations.Responsibilities include:Responsible for the care and safety of patients during imaging procedures utilizing age-appropriate care.Follow established protocols and under the direction of Radiologists, perform procedures for direct results of interpretations.Obtain correct written order for procedures.Efficiently use time to accomplish patient care assignments while meeting work quality, quantity, and timeliness expectations.Assist in the clinical education of student technologists.Efficient utilization of imaging equipment with attention to minimizing repeat examinations.Use supplies with emphasis on cost containment.Instruct and prepare patients regarding imaging procedures and assist in obtaining informed consent as needed.Ensure patients understand the procedure.Communicate with family members regarding discharge instructions.Respond actively and sensitively to the needs of internal and external customers.Ensure correct orders, diagnosis, and clinical history are entered into the computer system.Communicate with Radiologist regarding procedures and maintain effective verbal and written communication.Present a positive and professional demeanor.Adhere to hospital, departmental, and safety policies and procedures.Practice good radiation protection and follow established guidelines for governing organizations.Complete annual mandatory in-services and maintain current licensure requirements.Support and promote departmental efforts in achieving established projects and goals.Hold medical and sensitive information in confidence.Promote the mission and values of the organization.Assist other team members and help maintain records, reports, and files.Demonstrate flexibility and accountability in job duties and take initiative towards improving departmental operations.Perform other job duties and responsibilities as required.Frequent standing and walking are required.Frequent lifting and moving of patients may be necessary.Ability to lift, move, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs intermittently.Frequent use of finger and hand dexterity is required.Constant reaching with hands and arms.Frequent talking and hearing.Requires corrected hearing and vision in the normal range.Exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue, along with possible exposure to infectious materials and communicable diseases.Frequent exposure to radiation risk.Intermittent exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.Intermittent exposure to blood-borne pathogens risk.Work may involve stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours.May be required to take call and/or work weekends based on the needs of the department.We offer competitive benefits, including:Medical, dental & vision insuranceFree and unlimited continuing education units (CEUs)24/7 dedicated Care Line and clinical liaison supportPersonalized career consultant and "single point of contact" serviceIndustry?leading pay rates, loyalty rewards & referral bonusesFree tax return assistance for travelers401(k) Retirement PlanHealth Savings Account (HSA)Disability Insurance (Short-Term and Long-Term)Life and AD&D InsurancePaid Sick Leave (where required by applicable state or local law)Supplemental Insurance PlansIdentity Theft ProtectionPet InsuranceEmployee Wellness ProgramsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Career Growth and Professional Development OpportunitiesDisclaimer: Benefits eligibility, accrual rates, and usage limits may vary based on employment status, length of service, and work location.
