Job Summary The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring competent and safe administration of resident care. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Current, unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring, and/or possession of multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Ability to obtain and maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. Coordinate care, conduct resident assessments, educate residents, and perform nursing interventions. May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel within job descriptions and skill levels. Ensure safe, reliable administration of care and address service concerns.
