VIP staffing is Immediately hiring a Maintenance Tech for a Great organization in Albuquerque, NM

This is a Full time Temp to hire position with a Monday- Friday 8am- 5pm

Pay for this position is $19 per hour

VIP Staffing is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a great company in Albuquerque. This temp-to-hire position offers steady hours, long-term potential, and a consistent daytime schedule.

The Maintenance Technician will perform interior and exterior repairs, complete make-ready tasks, and support daily maintenance operations with minimal supervision. This role requires strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a residential housing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance projects and repairs with minimal supervision

• Complete interior and exterior repairs for apartment communities

• Assist with administrative maintenance functions, including:

  • Tracking inventory

  • Entering work orders

  • Maintaining mold/mildew logs, pool logs, and other required records

• Deliver excellent customer service to prospects, residents, vendors, and corporate departments

• Perform electrical and plumbing repairs as needed

• Paint interior/exterior surfaces

• Conduct lawn and grounds maintenance

• Complete make-ready tasks for vacant units

• Respond promptly to work order requests

• Participate in on-call rotation when required

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Relevant certifications strongly preferred (HVAC, CPO)

• 1+ year industry experience OR 3+ years general contract maintenance experience

• Proficient knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair

• Hands-on maintenance experience required

• Knowledge of environmental/industrial hazards (asbestos, lead, mold, radon) as they apply to residential housing

• Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance required

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• General understanding of Microsoft Office; property management software experience preferred

• Ability to be on-call when requested
