Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with neurovascular/stroke team experience and ARRT-R certification for a 13-week day shift assignment.

Details

• Interventional Radiology unit with a 50/50 split of inpatient and outpatient patients
• Patient diagnoses include biopsies, GI, GU/Renal, peripheral vascular, pulmonary, CT, and endovascular lab cases
• Procedures include Y-90 chemoembolization, GI bleed interventions, TPA administration, vein sampling, phase 2 recovery, and cryoablations
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Call requirement of 2 full weekends in a 6-week period plus 9 weeknights
• Floating required to a second campus for regular shifts and call coverage
• Uses Pyxis medication system and Epic for documentation

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience preferred
• BLS and ARRT-R certifications required
• WA state license required if applicable
• Experience with stroke teams and/or strong neurovascular experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skilled in procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, vascular closure systems, and central venous access
• Experience with fluoroscopy equipment (Philips, Siemens) and PACS
• 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include procedural support such as equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, room circulating, and accurate patient monitoring
• Perform a wide range of vascular, genitourinary, and neurological interventional procedures
• First-time travelers accepted
• Previous Providence employees must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months to qualify for a travel assignment
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history at a Providence facility as permanent staff, traveler, or per-diem
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a lower bill rate
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All time-off requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
