Shady Grove Medical Center - Behavioral Health seeks to hire an experienced Psychiatric Tech for our Behavioral Health unit who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As a Psychiatric Tech you will

• Facilitates patient-professional collaboration at all levels of health care.
• Monitors therapeutic treatment
• Recognizes and values differences in the care team and creates a setting conducive to opinion-sharing.
• Collaborates with the treatment team to develop patient care protocols and procedures.
• Incorporates clinical guidelines into patient care
• Uses information technology to deliver safe and efficient care.

Qualifications include

• Minimum of 2 years in related field
• High School Diploma or GED
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Inpatient Behavioral Health experience strongly preferred

Work Schedule:

This is a per diem position with a rate of $23.00 per hour

• Typical Daily Schedule: 6:45am -7:15pm
• Shift Type: Day
• Weekend Requirements: Alternating weekends
• Holiday Requirements: Alternating holidays
• Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Pay Range

If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Tobacco and Drug Statement

Tobacco use is a well-recognized preventable cause of death in the United States and an important public health issue.
