Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Stepdown Per Diem position located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. The hospital is a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Reporting to the Director, the mental health worker/certified nurse assistant will assist in the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health of patients assigned to his/her care. This includes assisting with ADL's, promoting wellness, health/education and clearly documenting patient activities. Responsible for adult and geriatric patient's personal hygiene, ADL's, vital signs, application of ice bags, K-Pads, assist patient with TC and DB and use of incentive spirometer and providing a safe and comfortable environment for their patients. They provide emotional support to their patients and document their interventions.

Qualifications CNA Job Requirements: Must have current, valid Certified Nurses Assistant certification, or be currently enrolled in accredited Registered Nursing program with completion of the 1st clinical curriculum semester. Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required through the American Heart Association.
