Quality TechnicianLocation: Forest Park, GA Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $22.00/hr Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 6 PM to 6 AMResponsibilitiesPerform wet chemical analysesPrepare and standardize lab stock reagents as neededOrder, receive, stock and maintain inventory of chemicals, reagents and consumable suppliesInterpret MSDS information with respect to lab chemicals and finished productsIdentify tests to perform based on product testing matricesRecord data in computer and/or logbooks and compose SPC charts for data analysisUse of SAP to retrieve product specifications and test limitsMaintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to include scales, pH meters, viscometers, and autotitratorsMaintain housekeeping in the department as requiredSupport project work as necessaryDemonstrate the proper use of lab-ware including volumetric and non-volumetric, including menisci reading for graduated cylinder/burette/volumetric flasksConduct Finish Case Inspections and other Quality checks on Packaging LinesPrepare and maintain Target/Reject bottlesSupport WCM processes including Early Management, Daily Operations and other PillarsRequirementsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific discipline, or equivalent laboratory experienceMinimum 1-3 years of experience in a laboratory, quality control, manufacturing, or chemical testing environmentDemonstrated knowledge of wet chemistry techniques, reagent preparation and standardization, laboratory safety practices, and chemical handling proceduresAbility to interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS), follow testing protocols and product testing matrices, and comply with applicable safety and quality standardsExperience operating, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment including pH meters, analytical balances, viscometers, autotitrators, and related instrumentationProficiency with computer-based data entry, statistical process control (SPC) charting, laboratory documentation, and enterprise systems such as SAPStrong understanding of laboratory glassware and measurement techniques, including accurate use of volumetric and non-volumetric equipment and proper meniscus readingExperience managing laboratory inventory, ordering chemicals and supplies, and maintaining organized stock and storage areasAbility to perform quality inspections, packaging line quality checks, finish case inspections, and maintain product standards through target/reject sample managementExperience in consumer products, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical manufacturing, or similar regulated industriesFamiliarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO quality systems, Lean Manufacturing, or World Class Manufacturing (WCM) methodologiesCertification or training in laboratory safety, hazardous materials handling, statistical quality control, or quality assurance processesSystem One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
