This position is considered remote, allowing licensed therapists to conduct sessions from the comfort of their home office while interfacing in virtual settings. However, you will also have the option to conduct in-person sessions at our outpatient office for those clients who prefer face-to-face therapeutic environments. Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or school settings and lead group therapy sessions at our outpatient center, emphasizing the child's holistic well-being.

• Develop tailored therapeutic interventions focusing on anger management, coping strategies, social skills development, and mitigating high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) or physical aggression.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions that focus on improving communication and decision-making skills to better manage in-home behavioral challenges.

• Regularly collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, educators, and healthcare providers, to enhance the quality of care for your clients.

• Maintain meticulous documentation in accordance with clinic protocols, including comprehensive intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring timely submissions.

• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss case updates, share best practices, and provide recommendations based on clinical insights.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position includes working with a diverse range of children aged 3-20 who face developmental and intellectual disabilities. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• Active and unrestricted LMFT licensure in the state of Florida is mandatory.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours, specifically between 4-7 PM, with the potential for weekend sessions.

• Proficient experience in providing positive behavior support is essential for success in this role.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are necessary for travel to client homes and community locations.

• All candidates must successfully pass a thorough background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure the safety and well-being of our clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with children specifically aged 3-20, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly desirable.

• Experience in applying therapeutic frameworks that encompass Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or similar methodologies is advantageous.

• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly valued and will enhance your ability to connect with a broader client demographic.
