Sage Credit Union is a rapidly growing not-for-profit financial cooperative headquartered in Klamath Falls, Oregon. We are currently building, growing, and developing our Business Services Team. We are hiring for a COMMERCIAL LENDER in Klamath Falls, Oregon.Work with the Business Services Team which provides capital to local businesses who provide services to and employ members of our communities. The Commercial Lender requires the ability to build and maintain quality business member relationships, excellent analytical skills, detailed organizational and decision-making skills. And we deliver a structure of financial products and services to help our members explore the scope of what’s possible.Essential Job FunctionsDevelop and maintain relationships with business members, understanding their financial needs and objectives, as well as identify and recruit potential members and business opportunitiesEvaluate loan applications, financial statements, tax reports, credit reports and other documentation to determine creditworthiness of applicantsStructure and negotiate loan terms, ensuring compliance with Business Loan Policy and other regulatory requirementsWork closely with members of the team to develop credit presentations to and present them to loan committeeClosely manage a portfolio of loans by monitoring loan performance and managing risk by conducting regular reviews and follow-upsStay updated on industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changesCollaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery of all products and services for our business membersEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferredExperience in a financial institution or credit programExperience or training in commercial lending or the equivalentKnowledge and Abilities:Strong analytical, decision making, and complex problem-solving skillsIn depth understanding of financial statements, tax returns, credit analysis, and risk managementProficient in negotiating loan terms and conditions to achieve favorable outcomes for both partiesAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven organization, prioritization, and accuracy in workSPECIAL FACTORS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Requires being under constant pressure for absolute accuracy within time limitationsRequires working with disgruntled members and frequent interruptionsAbility to lift and/or carry up to 30 poundsStooping; kneeling; crouching; and reaching below, at, and over shoulder level requiredSitting – 80%; standing and walking - 20%Hearing, visual, and verbal ability requiredSage Credit Union is an Equal Opportunity Employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
