Human Resources Manager

Role Description The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Wichita, Kansas Metropolitan Area. This position oversees day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with employment laws and company policies. The Human Resources Manager will administer compensation and benefits programs, maintain accurate HR records, and support training and development initiatives for employees at Kansas Paving and its sister companies. The role includes partnering with leadership to support workforce planning, promote a positive, inclusive work culture, and address HR-related issues in a timely and professional manner. The Human Resources Manager also helps ensure safety and HR policies are clearly communicated and consistently applied across the organization. Qualifications Experience in core HR functions such as recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration. Knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance requirements, and HR policies and procedures applicable to construction or industrial environments. Skill in developing and delivering training, supporting workforce development, and promoting a safe and inclusive workplace. Proficiency with HR systems and tools, such as HRIS platforms, timekeeping systems, and basic office software (e.g., MS Office). Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate with employees at all levels. Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving abilities, including attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities on-site. Prior experience in HR management or a similar HR leadership role; experience in construction, paving, or related industries is beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
