Location: Clearwater, FL 33755

Pay Rate: $28.00/hr

Shift: 2nd - Monday - Thursday 3:00pm - 01:30am

Description: Experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to run jobs on CNC Lathes, working with aluminum, some plastic and stainless steel to make simple parts. We have Okuma Lathes, running with sub-spindle live tooling and bar feeders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for in process inspection (utilizing calipers, micrometers)
• Responsible for making adjustments to offsets, and program as needed to maintain tolerances
• Must be able to work off of blueprints
• Must be able to accurately use shop math in checking parts
• Perform basic maintenance to the machines (clean and maintain, no mechanical repairs - weekly and monthly coolant maintenance)
• You will be expected to help around the shop with deburring, tapping, etc as needed to keep parts moving
• Maintain all paperwork associated with producing the part and maintaining company records
• Observe safety policies and procedures and operate in a safe manner

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years experience operating CNC Lathes
• Experience with CNC Okuma a plus
• Working knowledge of Algebra, Geometry and can do metric to imperial conversions
• General knowledge of G-code and M-code
• Fluent in GD&T and machining blueprint reading
• Skilled in part inspection and accountable to quality of parts

Physical Demands:

Must have ability to select, lift, carry and stack products weighing between 30 & 50 pounds. The ability to stand up, while occasionally bending, stooping, twisting and do repetitive work for 2 to 4 hours at a time. Stations have anti-fatigue mats and stools available when needed.
