DescriptionFinancial ControllerLeeds | Hybrid working110,000 - 120,000 + a strong benefits packageRobert Half is proud to be supporting a historic and well-established Leeds-based business in the search for an outstanding Financial Controller.This is a senior leadership opportunity for a technically strong finance professional who can combine deep accounting expertise with the ability to lead and develop a high-performing team in a complex and evolving group environment.The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of current accounting standards in the UK and internationally, and be able to assess and manage the accounting implications of acquisitions, organisational change and business growth, particularly as they relate to group accounting policies and reporting.Key responsibilities will include:Leading the finance function and managing a high-calibre teamOverseeing group financial control, reporting and complianceEnsuring robust application of current accounting standardsAssessing the accounting impact of acquisitions, restructuring and growth activitySupporting the development and evolution of group accounting policiesDriving continuous improvement across financial processes and controlsActing as a key finance partner to senior leadershipCandidate profile:ACA or ACCA qualifiedSignificant post-qualified experience in senior finance leadership rolesStrong technical accounting expertise, including knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS and broader international standardsProven experience of operating in a group environmentStrong understanding of the accounting considerations surrounding M&A, change and growthDemonstrable experience leading, developing and motivating teamsCommercially aware, credible and confident engaging with senior stakeholdersIn return, the business is offering a salary of 110,000 - 120,000 with a strong benefits package, alongside hybrid working options.Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
