Job Description Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Business Manager to join our team in Michigan and contribute to the growth of Teoresi’s business in the U.S. The ideal candidate combines a strong business development mindset with the ability to build long-term client relationships, identify new opportunities, and progressively develop and manage a team of specialized engineers. We are looking for someone who is proactive, comfortable prospecting and opening new accounts, and capable of understanding clients’ technical and business needs in the Automotive, Engineering, and Technology field . Previous experience in engineering or technology consulting is valuable but not mandatory . We are also open to candidates coming from other technical or engineering-driven environments who have demonstrated strong commercial and business development capabilities. About the Role The Business Manager is responsible for developing and managing a Business Unit consisting of specialized engineers providing high-tech engineering and consulting services to our clients. The role combines business development, client relationship management, recruitment, and team management , with direct responsibility for the growth and profitability of the assigned business area. The Business Manager identifies and develops new business opportunities, strengthens existing client relationships, supports the recruitment and development of the engineering team, and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the delivery of our services. The position requires a strong entrepreneurial approach and the ability to progressively take ownership of both the commercial and operational development of the Business Unit. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Strategy Identify and develop new business opportunities within the Automotive, Engineering, and Technology markets. Prospect and establish relationships with new clients and key decision-makers. Develop and strengthen commercial relationships with existing customers. Manage the complete business development lifecycle, from prospecting and opportunity identification through proposal development, negotiation, and project launch. Understand clients’ technical and business needs and translate them into potential engineering and consulting opportunities. Monitor the competitive landscape and relevant market developments. Identify opportunities to expand and diversify existing services. Contribute to annual business planning and growth strategies. Collaborate with internal technical and operational teams to develop appropriate solutions for clients. Customer Relationship Management Develop strong, long-term relationships with customers and key stakeholders. Strengthen Teoresi’s position within existing accounts. Monitor customer activities and anticipate upcoming needs and opportunities. Identify opportunities for new projects and service expansion. Maintain regular communication with customers throughout project execution. Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address potential issues. Recruitment & Team Management Participate actively in the recruitment of engineering and technical profiles, including candidate screening and interviews. Build a team aligned with current and future client needs. Support onboarding and integration of new team members. Monitor team performance, allocation, and workload. Support the professional development and career progression of team members. Identify and retain key talent. Work closely with HR and Operations to ensure appropriate staffing and team development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; an Engineering or other technical degree is preferred . Demonstrated experience in business development, account management, or a similar client-facing role . Experience within Automotive, Engineering, Technology, or other technical environments is strongly preferred. Previous experience in engineering or technology consulting is considered an advantage but is not mandatory. Experience interacting with engineering teams and technical stakeholders is a plus.
