Groundman - Transmission (Oncor) - Odessa, TX

Groundman
The Groundman is your first step to a rewarding career in the construction and maintenance of our nation's Power Grid. You will report to the Foreman.
Essential Functions:
- Perform new construction, maintain and repair de-energized powerlines while putting safety first.
- Help install and repair overhead transmission lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
- You will perform rigorous physical labor and regularly lift heavy tools and equipment.
- Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good work order.
- Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and inclement weather.
- Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation.
- Inspect rubber goods and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Follow all safety protocols and understand when to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
