Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room at a prestigious hospital in Winchester, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiovascular surgery and be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care Monitor and assess patient's vital signs and condition during surgery Assist with surgical procedures, including preparing and maintaining sterile fields, passing instruments, and providing supplies to surgeons Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the physician Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe and efficient patient care Document patient care and communicate any changes in patient’s condition to the physician Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia Minimum of 2 years experience in cardiovascular surgery BLS and ACLS certification Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team environment Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays Benefits Competitive salary Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid time off and holidays Career development opportunities Supportive and collaborative work environment If you are a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for cardiovascular surgery, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity with Progeny HR Solutions LLC.
