Current Career Opportunities Position: Lawn Care Technician Location: Wixom, MI Job Id: 3284 # of Openings: 1 Lawn Care Technician (Certification Required) Join Michigan’s largest landscape management company as a Lawn Care Technician! Our Lawn Care Technicians are State of Michigan Certified Pesticide Applicators, applying fertilizers as well as treating for weeds, insects, & turf diseases. This is a year round, full time position that transitions into snow and ice management in the winter. Team Member Benefits Competitive base pay: $24 - $28+/hr., based on experience Snow pay Compensation Incentives Health, Vision, & Dental Benefits 401(k) plan, with company match Short Term and Long Term Disability Employee Assistance Program Referral bonus Performance reviews Annual boot reimbursement Annual rain gear reimbursement Company events Awards and recognition from peers and leaders Ongoing training and development Career advancement Requirements Michigan Commercial Pesticide ApplicatorLicense(Categories 3A, 3B,&6mandatory) is required 1 year of commercial lawn care experience, including operation of ride-on spreader is required Possess achauffeur'sdriver’slicense,or the ability to obtain one upon hire Experience driving a truck w/ trailer Basic math skills associated with accuratelymeasuring and mixing pesticides, as well as calibrating spreaders to directed application rates Possess a Smart phone and use to track time and material, as well as navigate to properties The capacity to work independently or with a crew General working knowledge of proper lawn and landscape management practices, including basic grass, weed, & disease identification Flexible attitude open to helping in other areas of the business when needed Ability to lift 50 pound bags of fertilizer DJ's Landscape Management is a drug-free workplace.As a condition of employment, new Team Members are required to pass a pre-employment drug test and participate inrandom drug tests during their active employment.
