What You'll Do

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in cardiac and medical stepdown units
• Manage patients with complex conditions such as respiratory failure, CVA, DKA, sepsis, post-surgical care, and cardiac interventions
• Titrate cardiac, insulin, and vasopressor drips, including medications like Amiodarone and Dopamine
• Use advanced skills such as managing venous sheaths, TR bands, and temporary pacemakers
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNAs, techs, RTs, and support staff
• Follow charting protocols in Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Support patient recovery and safety through vigilant monitoring and intervention

What You Need
Required:

• Active RN license in Louisiana or eligible to obtain
• 2+ years of recent PCU or stepdown experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam
• Skills in titrating cardiac, insulin, and vasoactive medications
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations

Preferred:

• LVAD certification
• Experience with managing complex cardiac cases and post-surgical patients

Orientation includes hospital and unit-specific training, with consistent support throughout your assignment.
