General Information



Tell us about the unit(s):


• Number of Beds - 19 patient rooms, 6 PACU rooms, 6 triage rooms, 3 L&D ORs


• Number of Staff - Matrix is 8-10 for night shift


• Type of staff:


• Day Shift - ( example 1 charge, 3 RN, 2 CNA, and 1-3 sitters)


• Night Shift - 1 charge, 7-9 RNs, 1 CST

• Patient Ratios - 2:1, 1:1 with complicated patients - Estimated never guaranteed


• Type of equipment - FHR monitors (Novii and GE), FSE (fetal scalp electrodes),


• EMR - CPN and Meditech

Typical hiring profile



Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters)

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.


• Minimum of 1-year current acute care hospital L&D experience


• BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN or EFM



Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.


• Mom/Baby, Peds and/or NICU experience



List typical procedures performed on unit(s):


• Vaginal deliveries, c-section deliveries,


• Delivery of care through nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for labor and delivery patients, postpartum patients and high-risk antepartum patients.
