Job Description Job Description Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) – Periodontics & Implant Dentistry Pay: $30.00–$38.00 per hour, depending on experience West Valley Implant Dental Practice is looking for an experienced, caring, and motivated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our periodontal and implant team. Responsibilities include: Assist the doctor with periodontal, implant, and surgical procedures Prepare patients for treatment and help them feel comfortable and confident about their care Set up treatment rooms and surgical operatories Maintain proper sterilization, infection control, and surgical protocols Take high-quality dental X-rays and other required imaging Maintain accurate and complete patient records Provide pre-operative and post-operative instructions Educate patients regarding oral hygiene and home care Prepare instruments, materials, and equipment for procedures Monitor clinical inventory and help maintain necessary dental and surgical supplies Work closely with the doctor and other team members to keep the clinical schedule running smoothly Perform RDA duties within the scope permitted by California law What We’re Looking For Our ideal candidate is someone who is dependable, professional, organized, and genuinely enjoys caring for patients. Qualifications: Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license Current X-ray certification/license Previous dental assisting experience Periodontal, implant, oral surgery, or other surgical dental experience is highly valued Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection-control procedures Excellent chairside assisting skills Comfortable working with dental technology and basic computer systems Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Positive attitude and willingness to learn A team-oriented mindset Periodontal and implant experience is a plus, but we also value an experienced RDA who is motivated to learn and grow in specialty dentistry. Compensation $30.00–$38.00 per hour Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and periodontal/implant surgical experience. Candidates with significant periodontal, implant, and surgical assisting experience may qualify toward the higher end of the range. Join Our Team!
