Senior Construction Project Manager (Operations Lead) Key Interiors is seeking a senior construction leader to take ownership of our operations department and help scale a fast‑growing, design‑build firm specializing in premium commercial and life science environments. Lombard, IL | On‑Site | Full‑Time Why This Role is Unique Lead and scale the entire construction operations team Direct impact on company growth and strategic direction Work on high‑end commercial, lab, and specialty buildouts True design‑build model with in‑house collaboration Strong pipeline of repeat clients and premium projects ️ What You’ll Do Lead and oversee all construction operations (PMs + Superintendents) Manage department budgets, forecasting, and performance metrics Drive scheduling, cost control, and field execution excellence Mentor and develop project management and field teams Partner with leadership on growth strategy and resource planning Compensation $130K–$150K+ (based on results) Bonus Structure Health Insurance ✅ What We’re Looking For 10+ years in commercial construction (senior leadership role) Experience leading multiple PMs and Superintendents Strong budgeting and financial management skills Proficiency in Procore, Excel, Smartsheet, Word Excellent communication and leadership abilities Bachelor’s degree (Construction Management, Engineering, or related) Design‑build or life science/lab experience is a plus About Key Interiors Key Interiors is an innovative general contracting firm that embraces the design, build, furnish approach for commercial projects mainly in the food/beverage and life science industries. 60% of our work is premium office, 40% is plant work including labs, clean rooms and hi‑spec manufacturing space.
