Communications Specialist

Contractor, Internal Communications – Specialist Pay Rate: 40-45 per hour Framingham, MA - on site 6 month contract - potential for conversion The Internal Communications Contractor supports the Sr. Manager, Global Internal Communications Business Partner with building and executing internal communications (IC) strategies and programs that engage, inspire and empower Bose employees around the world. They will work to support the implementation of global IC strategy and planning to internal clients – including Bose Corporation’s corporate functions and global Hub locations by executing communications plans and tactics in support of meetings, events, strategic programs, and key change initiatives. The role requires a proactive individual who is highly organized and thrives in a fast-paced, complex environment. Main responsibilities: Support the Sr. Manager, Internal Communications Business Partner in the execution of strategy and planning to engage, inspire and empower Bose employees around the world. Coordinate and execute communication strategies that enable Bose to successfully implement key initiatives, including business function updates, global Hub, and enterprise-wide initiatives. Work with the Sr. Manager and Sr. Specialist on IC strategy, recommending and facilitating the best communications approach, messaging, channels and tools to support strategic priorities and programs. Aggregate and synthesize internal communications globally, from across the enterprise and build relationships with key stakeholders. Ability to tailor and distribute messaging through existing channels (e.g., leadership messaging, manager updates, and local messages and meeting support). Key competencies and experiences we are looking for Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment. Strategic, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity. A college degree in communications, marketing, journalism or similar. 4+ years of experience in communications planning and execution – in-house or agency. Prior experience working within a software development, or highly technical environment is strongly preferred. You must possess the technical acumen to converse comfortably with engineers and technical leaders. A proven communicator with exceptional writing and editing skills, and attention to detail. Experience developing and generating internal communications plans that apply creative tactics using a wide variety of integrated communication channels and touchpoints, including social, digital, video and events. Familiarity with communications platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Yammer/Viva Engage, email, Microsoft Office) Comfortable engaging with executive-level stakeholders. This role is based in Framingham, MA and is subject to the local hybrid work policy. This role is designed for 40 hours/week.
