Infrastructure Automation Engineer

Driving technical architecture for IT operations, the full-time Senior IT Automation Engineer will lead complex automation projects, manage design decisions across various platforms, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance IT tooling at Coinbase in a remote-first environment. Key responsibilities Own the technical architecture of IT Tooling automations, driving design decisions on system structure and integration patterns Lead complex automation projects end-to-end as the technical DRI, from discovery and design through production delivery Partner with Security and Corporate Engineering teams to resolve technical blockers and represent IT Tooling in architecture discussions Required qualifications 5+ years in IT engineering, automation, or systems engineering with ownership of architecture decisions Deep expertise in building and maintaining automations using n8n, Airflow, Temporal, and Jira Automation Working knowledge of Okta, Slack API, and Google Workspace administration for secure automation architecture design Proven ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments and translate problems into technical specs Experience mentoring peers and writing technical design documentation for diverse audiences
