Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit

This position requires a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will care for patients with serious and complex medical conditions. They will be expected to demonstrate strong clinical skills and critical thinking. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 2:1. They should be familiar with a variety of healthcare situations and treatment protocols. Experience in trauma level II or community hospital settings is preferred. They will be responsible for patient assessments, IV administration, and managing critical care equipment. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams will be essential. The nurse will float within scope to meet facility needs if necessary. Support for physical therapy, respiratory services, and other specialties will be available. COVID-19 vaccination is required, with medical or religious exemptions allowed. Flu vaccination is also required, with medical, religious exemptions, and declinations permitted. Completion of non-billable modules before starting is required. Modules will vary in time based on profession and must be completed for clearance. The facility provides care for diverse age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census includes managing multiple patients effectively. The position demands strong knowledge in clinical procedures relevant to critical care. Key skills include IV management, ventilator care, and monitoring hemodynamic parameters. The nurse will implement protocols for emergencies and care during critical situations. They will assess patient needs and document care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
