Travel RN - Telemetry - Stepdown

Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Telemetry Neuro position requiring a CA RN license and at least two years of stepdown or telemetry experience. Details Acute care patient population with ratios between 1:3 and 1:5 Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 Every other weekend required On-call as needed Epic EMR experience required Requirements Active CA RN license Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of experience in a Stepdown or Telemetry unit Community hospital experience required Epic charting system experience required Skilled in IV therapy, central line and PICC line management, and blood product administration Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomy care Neurological care experience including craniotomy, CVA, intracranial bleeds, seizure disorders, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and rapid response/code team protocols Two supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration Additional Information Provide care to a combined caseload of Stepdown and Telemetry Neuro patients Utilize rapid response and code teams as needed for patient emergencies Must reside within a 50-mile radius to be eligible for the local rate Local candidates accepted at the local rate Returning employees must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only one holiday request approved per contract Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day First-time travelers are welcome to apply These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
