The warehouse pick-pack-ship worker is responsible for accurately, neatly and efficiently filling orders. The PPS worker also assists in reporting any inventory or stocking mistakes discovered, assists in the general housekeeping of the shipping area and assists in other duties as needed to effectively and efficiently serve the customers of the E-Commerce Dept.

Job Duties:

Picking/Packing/Shipping E-Commerce Orders

1. Quality Control – a focus on high quality product selection and packing.
2. A PPS worker will be expected to pack orders in the best way possible, making sure to protect the items from damage during shipping and handling. Choose the best box or padded envelope for each item to ensure the product is not damaged during shipping but also choosing the best package that offers the lowest possible shipping cost. The ideal package chosen protects the item well and provides the lowest shipping cost.
3. If a product picked is not in “new condition” the PPS worker will be expected to find a better condition part (if available) to pack and ship instead.
4. Become proficient in using the company’s various computer software programs to print packing lists and shipping labels and fixing bad addresses whenever necessary.
5. Drive the company’s vehicle to local UPS, FedEx or USPS warehouses whenever necessary to drop off packages.

A PPS worker is part of the warehouse and APH team and, therefore, assists other team members as needed. A PPS worker also assists in other ways as requested by the PPS supervisor.

A PPS worker APH in a professional and positive manner. A PPS worker’s appearance is professional and meets our customers’ expectations and the APH employee handbook. A PPS worker participates in internal and external training programs to learn more about our company, our processes and practices. A PPS worker maintains a calm, positive demeanor and positive attitude when working or communicating with employees and customers.

A PPS worker will be measured against the standards set for interaction with customers and co-workers, ability to follow company procedures, and the ability to accurately, neatly and efficiently pick, pack and ship orders.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to function in a fast paced environment and meet time deadlines.
• Must have strong computer and software operational skills.
