What You'll Do:
  • Support and promote residents’ dignity, privacy, independence, and individuality.
  • Execute monthly activity programs that meet residents’ psychosocial needs, including one-on-one engagement when appropriate.
  • Assist with planning, coordinating, and facilitating activities, events, and life enrichment programs.
  • Document resident participation and maintain accurate activity records.
  • Monitor and maintain activity supplies, equipment, and event materials to ensure program success.
  • Capture and share photos of community events, celebrations, and special occasions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by following infection control and resident safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Activities Director and team by providing feedback, supporting department goals, and completing additional assigned duties.
What You'll Need:
  • High school diploma/GED required; experience working with older adults preferred.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining excellent attendance.
  • Positive, energetic, and professional demeanor with strong moral and ethical character.
  • Ability to remain calm, compassionate, and effective in challenging or unexpected situations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions when appropriate.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional resident-centered care and engagement.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform other physical activities throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and safely transport residents in wheelchairs.
