Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in the Operating Room to join our team for a contract position. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in various surgical cases and be committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in various surgical procedures including General, GYN, Urology, Robotics, Ortho, Neuro/Spine, Podiatry, ENT, Plastics, Vascular, Eyes, and Trauma.
Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient safety and outcomes.
Maintain sterile environments and follow infection control protocols.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
Participate in rotating shifts and be available for weekend and holiday assignments as required.

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alaska.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room setting; 5 years preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
Strong clinical and communication skills.
Reliable transportation is necessary for commute.

Contract Information

This is a 16-week contract position with rotating shifts from Monday to Friday, 10-hour days, and additional weekend and holiday requirements for call duties. All orientation is billable.

Additional Information

Free housing available for one occupant; pet units are not available.
Orientation sessions scheduled as needed.
